Top Electric Scooters brand sales in February 2025
Electric Scooters are booming in India right now with several brands offering several offerings that make this segment as competitive as the compact SUV market. Let’s see who the top contenders are in February 2025.
Bajaj Auto makes a comeback
Bajaj makes an interesting comeback in February 2025 by reclaiming the top spot in electric 2-wheeler segment in India. The brand sold a total of 21,335 units in February, resulting in an exceptional 81% Year-on-Year growth as it sold 11,763 units in Feb 2024. The company also occupied the top position in December before OLA Electric took the position back in Jan 2025 sales.
Bajaj Auto had a market share of 28% in February 2025 in the Electric two-wheeler segment. The brand sold a total of 1,95,651 units in the last 11 months of the Chetak EV, which is more than its entire sales of FY24 in the country.
TVS stands at the second position
TVS stands at the second position last month with 18,746 units, which was 28% up compared to Feb 2024. It captured a market share of 24%. The brand came very close to achieving the 1st position in Jan 2024 but had to settle for second. TVS already recorded more than 2 lakh iQube e-scooters in FY25.
Ather Energy holds 3rd rank, OLA in 4th
The 3rd rank was secured by Ather Energy with 11,788 units sold in February 2025. The company managed to move up by one spot as compared to 2025 January.
Meanwhile, OLA electric slipped to 4th with a market share of 11% in India. The brand claimed to have sold more than 25,000 units last month. The brand is further facing a temporary drop in vehicle registration numbers at Vahan due to renegotiation of its contracts with multiple agencies.
Who holds the 5th and 6th position?
The 5th position is held by Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM), beating Hero MotoCorp’s Vida, which is at 6th position in February 2025. GEM has a portfolio of 6 e-scooters in India, while Vida only retails 2 for now, so expect Vida’s sales to increase once it expands its portfolio.
Fun Fact
Only 3 brands: Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor Company and Ather Energy were able to cross 10K units sales in February 2025. The overall sales of electric two-wheelers combined stand at 75,995 units last month.
