New Jeep Meridian X India Launch at Rs 34.27 Lakh

Jeep has recently launched the special edition Meridian X from Rs 34.27 Lakh (ex-showroom). It has got some cosmetic changes along with the addition of new features. At the price of Rs 34.27 Lakh, the Meridian X is a Rs 50,000 premium over the entry-level Limited (O) variant.

Jeep Meridian X – Highlights

The Meridia X sports a grey roof and alloy wheels with grey accents. Unlike the regular Meridian, it gets some additional equipment such as puddle lamps, side moulding, sunshades, programmable ambient lighting, premium carpet mats, an air purifier and an optional rear-seat entertainment package & a dashcam.

Powering the Meridian X is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that generates 170 hp and 350 Nm of Peak Torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 9-speed torque converter automatic (optional). However, whether the Meridian X will be available with both gearboxes or with front-wheel-drive / all-wheel-drive remains unknown.

The Jeep Meridian is already due to receive a mid-life update later this year. The updated SUV was spied on during its test runs recently, confirming subtle styling changes. Design changes will likely include a revised grille and new bumpers, while the ADAS suite will be the biggest addition. Upon its arrival, the car will continue to lock horns with MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq.
